Trex-Evs association was created in 2007 with the aim of providing common space for Turkish Ex-EVS volunteers. The association is based in İzmir city of Turkey, which is the 3rd biggest metropolitan in Turkey. We mainly focus on activities designed for youth mobility, inclusion of disadvantaged, democracy and youth mobility. As we are the most active on voluntary activities and mainly EVS since the very beginning of YIA programme, we continue to coordinate projects through Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps.
Our basic mission is to be an information supplier between ex and future European volunteers and to help passing on the gained experiences, observations to the following volunteers by organizing various meetings and projects. Additionally, we want to promote the idea of taking initiative to young people and be active citizens in society.
TREX EVS is playing a key role to disseminate the EU Youth Strategy within young people and local organizations in terms of building a more inclusive society and coping with different societal challenges and crises. TREX EVS cooperate with institutions, universities and non-governmental organizations specifically on current issues, such as access to digital kits that will local official be easily enabled for refugees to benefit from youth opportunities.

TREX EVS is an active non-profit organization, running various youth projects since 2007. As an association, we have been working for the coordination and facilitation of EVS projects as well as youth exchanges, training courses. Since the Erasmus+ is implemented in the field under Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals “Mobility project for young people and youth workers.” In addition to that, within Erasmus+, a KA2 Projects have been included successfully with the cooperation of local and European organizations (E.g. https://reachout.yasar.edu.tr/ ). We are planning to develop our project thorough “Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practice” with partners who are very qualified and experienced within Europe. Moreover, we will attend to sport activities.
TREX EVS focuses on active citizenship through youth entrepreneurship, employability and providing equal opportunities for all. We encourage young people to take initiative in both solutions of societal problems as well as employment and self improvement. As an organization we provide training and mobility opportunities to local and international youth through our projects.
We at the same time cooperate with local, regional and national institutions to strengthen the link between youth and decision makers taking the role as advocating the rights of the young people from all backgrounds with a focus on disadvantaged youth. We have been encouraging young people to take part in volunteering projects, info days and social campaigns that we organize to provide them a platform for their voices to be heard. By 2023-2024 period, we have organized 10+ Info days, have send 20+ volunteers abroad and organized at least 2 social campaigns targeting young people.
