Short description of the activity
Pictures were shared with them of our activities from the training course, and they got familiar with Stoic exercises and principles that we can apply in entrepreneurship as-well as in daily life. The topic wasn’t previously familiar to them so it helped them gain a new perspective regarding philosophy, entrepreneurship and other principles that are applicable to many situations.
There was a discussion regarding how they use these principles in their day to day activities and how they can apply other principles in professional aspects as well. They found that they could used their knowledge in studies and future endeavors regarding professional work. They saw these principles and exercises as very useful and thought they provided a very healthy way of thinking. Specific activities that we did in the training course were also discussed, such as our trading activity and the acting out of stoic exercises, and they in detail learned about things they can apply in their lives. They found the topic surprisingly interesting, even if they had not touched upon the topics of stoicism, but most of all entrepreneurship. They found that in their education they lacked this type of education about entrepreneurship in their schools, and they wished that they could have found out about such topics earlier because they hugely piqued their interest.
The group resonated with the topic and found all of the activities very interesting, even just through talking about them. The reaction was positive, and got the group to think about and apply the concepts in their lives, both professionally and personally.
